Past Layouts
9 Oct 05 - 12 Jan 06: The graphic for this layout featured photoshop brushes over my own photographs of autumn leaves. It was a simple design fitting the time of year I opened the site. This was a tables layout - the first I'd made for a while, having got into div-based layouts.
12 Jan 06 - 8 Apr 06: This layout featured my last cat, Bubbles (in a photo by my Dad). The graphic uses a texture from Misplaced, and a brush from Imaginations. It was coded with a combination of divs and a table, and was my first layout with the title image placed vertically to the right rather than along the top.
8 Apr 06 - 11 Aug 08: This was my first attempt at a collage-style layout. The cat is another photo of my Bubbles, all other images (book, paper, rose petals etc) come from stock.xchng. The theme of roses was suggested by other references in Four Quartets, especially the first part of Burnt Norton:
Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage which we did not take
Towards the door we never opened
Into the rose-garden. My words echo
Thus, in your mind.
But to what purpose
Disturbing the dust on a bowl of rose-leaves
I do not know.
