Fanlistings: TV N-Z
Pride and Prejudice
My favourite of the BBC period dramas, and not just because of Mr Darcy. A fine adaptation of a well-crafted story.
Isabella: Robin Hood
My favourite character from the recent BBC TV series - strong-willed, vulnerable, beautiful, she was a complex character whose potential wasn't fully explored by the writers.
Star Trek Series
The original Star Trek is a classic of sci-fi. This series and the later incarnations all boast engaging stories and memorable characters, including some great female roles. The Next Generation is perhaps the fullest expression of Star Trek's idealistic vision. Deep Space Nine took a new direction with its space station setting, allowing for different kinds of storylines. Voyager was different again, following the adventures of the crew stranded in the Delta Quadrant and seeking a way home. With the intrepid Captain Kathryn Janeway, this was my favourite series. Enterprise returned to the classic model of journeys of exploration with earth as a base, but exploring an early era in the Star Trek universe.
Stargate SG-1
Building on the ideas of the Stargate film, this series mixes travel to alien worlds with archeology and mythology. Together with strong characters and cast, excellent scripts and a sense of humour, this made for a great series.

The 10th Kingdom (miniseries)
What happened after the 'happily ever after' of the classic fairy tales? When an ordinary New York girl is caught up in events of the fairytale kingdoms she finds out, in this adventure which is also a modern re-telling of familiar tales. I fell in love from the wonderful opening titles.
Wallace and Gromit
Hilarious short films starring the inventive and ever-optimistic Wallace and the faitful and long-suffering Gromit.
