Even before I learned to read Hebrew I loved the Hebrew alphabet. The many levels of meaning given by the mystical significance of the letters fascinate me, and I've come to love the sound of Hebrew prayers.

Slash Fiction / Femmeslash

I don't read much fanfic, but I do enjoy some slash - exploring possibilities ignored in mainstream film and tv. After discovering the concept of slash while researching gender and sexuality issues for an essay, I went hunting... Many of my favourite pairings come from the femmeslash genre, particularly in Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Steam Trains

As a child I was brought up on Thomas the Tank Engine and special outings to steam railways, and I still love travelling by steam train when I get the chance.
