Unattended Moments

Mountains

Somehow I feel closer to God in the mountains - its partly the sense of age and rootedness, partly feeling above and away from daily concerns. I have special memories of the Welsh mountains, and Mount San Jacinto, California.

Stones and Rocks

I love polished stones and crystals, and I also like to collect pebbles at places I visit - wandering along a beach, especially somewhere like Iona, I can never get over the endless variety and the beauty of them :)

Trees

I find there is something immensely soothing about trees and I never like to be too far away from them... I grew up with a garden with a cherry tree and apple trees that I used to love to climb and sit in, and with woods nearby.

The Universe

I love the concept of this fanlisting - the beauty and wonder of everything that makes up our universe. I've always been interested in astronomy, and questions of how and why the universe came to be. Looking at the heavens reminds me of the interconnectedness of everything - I love the idea that we are all stardust.
