Tiger (pencil). Copied from a photograph sometime in my early teens. I was always pleased with how it turned out, it was a lot bolder than most of my drawings at that time.
Trees (gouache) c. 1991. This was from a begginer's art class at adult ed. that I took before I started my GCSEs. My Mum liked it, so I framed it and gave it to her for her birthday.
Bubbles (gouache) c. 1991. From a photo, again pre-GCSE. I was quite pleased with it, even though something about the face is not quite right.
Toffee (pencil) This was a sketch from life, that I probably did around the time I was studying for my A-levels
Berries (acrylics) My art teacher persuaded me try acrylics towards the end of my gcse course, so that is what I used for most of my painting after that. This was done sometime during the A-level course. The composition is a bit odd, but it's one of my Mum's favourites so she has it on her wall.
Phoenix and child (pencil) c. 1996. One of my few drawings from imagination, it just popped into my head as an image for how I saw my inner child at the time
Elrond (watercolour) 2005. My Mum was learning how to paint portraits in a watercolour class, so I wanted to try it out too.
Copies of other artists' works
Georgia O'Keeffe - poppies (acrylics) another piece of my A-level critical study, a copy of one of my favourite O'Keeffe pictures.
from Botticelli's Birth of Venus (chalk and charcoal) c. 1996. I just felt like playing with charcoal one day, and I like this painting so decided to try to draw it
